Location:
Use this form to find the latitude and longitude of a place.

The coordinates of the entered location are returned together with a link to that point on each of Google Maps and Google Earth.

Location may be specified as street &/or town &/or country &/or post code &/or ZIP code, or something else understood by Google Maps e.g. ICAO airport code. If the wrong location is returned try adding other information. (E.g. contrast the results of queries "Lincoln" and "Lincoln, USA".)

Coordinates are displayed conventionally: in decimal degrees; in degrees and decimal minutes; and in degrees, minutes and seconds.

This utility is intended to help with the creation of GPS waypoints: possibly when frustrated that Google Maps does not display North/South East/West coordinates; or, perhaps while lost, for use via WAP from cellphones and other mobile devices.
